I have given up counting how many sweet peas I cut now, as there are thankfully just too many!

to this in only 12 weeks!
The hanging baskets to decorate the doorway are also doing well

How did the flower pouches do? They seem such a pretty idea.
Thanks, definitely looking like I will have enough for 5 bridesmaids and 12 small vases full for Sunday 16th! The hanging pouches were a disaster! They just didn't grow, except the 2 or three plants in the top. I don't think sweet peas like their roots horizontal, or maybe I planted them up too late when they were too big. Never mind, I've made 30 florist bows from florist ribbon with trailing pink, white & lilac curls instead!. SWD

fantastic idea on the sweet peas. i've been looking at flowers for our garden wedding at the end of june 2008 and this seems ideal. i don't have to pay for them, i just have to get Tom to dig another patch to grow them all!!
thanks for the idea, i don't know why it didn't occur to me - apart from being so focussed on trying to grow food i suppose!
