Winter Garden

We've had a weekend break away, the last before 'Baby Digger' arrives, with a friend in Bedfordshire. Knowing how much I like gardening and being rather 'physically challenged' with a huge bump, the National Trust Anglesea Abbey was a great choice for somewhere to visit on a cold, crisp, sunny winters day.

It featured on a gardening programme recently, where they were washing the algae from the silver birch trees! It did look stunning!

Only four weeks to go until our precious seedling is due. HWDD is rather apprehensive that it will be born under the gooseberry bush on the allotment!

ah another who foolishly misplanned baby arriving with spud planting... although if we're late i guess we could get things going by actually getting out there and planting rather than watching and waiting....

i think a gooseberry bush is as good a place as any to birth (although at this time of year may be a little chilly!!) although maybe a little less than private due to being on allotment rather than garden

good luck, fingers crossed you don't have to wait too long - just long enough to ensure fully cooked status of little one!
best wishes
barabara due around the 26th feb/4march in sunny east sussex too

This is the month when they start to get pot-bound. My fingers are crossed too for the repotting - sure it will all go fine.

Thanks for your message on my blog SWD, glad to hear you are making progress as well. I'm well into the physio now and hoping to get home in about 4-6 weeks....can't wait.

Take care

Here's hoping all goes well with the delivery of your bump....! And don't worry about your plot.....you can always catch up later and the fresh air and peace and quiet will be very good for baby too.

How jealous am I on your trip to Anglesea Abbey, I saw it on the gardening programme too, those birch trees are out of this world. Crickey how time flies, Baby Digger imminent, I can't believe that, don't forget to keep checking under that gooseberry bush! x

An outstanding share! I've just forwarded this onto a co-worker who has been doing a little research on this. And he in fact bought me breakfast due to the fact that I found it for him... lol. So let me reword this.... Thank YOU for the meal!! But yeah, thanks for spending the time to talk about this topic here on your web site.
