
Happy New Year to everyone!
Snow is such a novelty in the south of England that everything grinds to a halt. Not that we minded and it was such fun while it lasted. Now that it has gone (except for the remains of giant snowmen) Little Digger (LD) couldn't understand why I wouldn't let him stand on the thawed water!

The broad beans, garlic, onions & parsnips have not come to any harm during the 'Big Freeze'
and I've managed to sort out the shed guttering, water butts, shelving and also a separate compost for perennial weeds.


It didn't stay this empty for long!
Underneath the snow in the garden, there are actually some plants beginning to flower....
