Creative cooking...

HWDD had a birthday in October, so I decided to also get creative with his cake, after he created Barbapapa for me. He was also chuffed with our day out to the Historical Dockyard at Chatham to see all things nautical.

I decided to have a quick lay down while on the Cold War submarine, but couldn't begin to imagine the discomfort the sub-mariners lived in for months on end. While I snoozed HWDD was busy being impressed with the torpedo tubes.....

Clever girl....making that cake. I can't say it looks good enough to eat because the colours are quite off putting as food goes....but it does fit the bill as a cake for a fella....!
Did it taste nice....did you eat the green and brown icing?LOL
Well done...

Yes we ate it all!
The icing was a mixture of chocolate and plain, coloured with green food dye, the gun & tracks were matchmakers and the wheels mini Jaffa cakes. SWD

Excellent cake, my 8 yr old son wants one like it. Looks like his mum will be busy!

That was a great tank cake, I say was, as I see it has all been eaten up and probably thoroughly enjoyed too. I would get claustrophobic temdencies in that bunk and feel really panicky, I could not begin to imagine what it must feel like to be squeezed into there, especially if you have eaten too much cake!
